Pasteurizers are large stainless steel tanks used for the thermal treatment of milk on the farm and mini dairies. It is used to kill all pathogenic bacteria. They are ideal for medium and large milk, drink and foodstuff industries. They can process 400-500 liters per hour. The milk or cream is poured in and heated to the temperature required for the pasteurization and held at that temperature. Pasteurized milk or cream is then cooled using cold water to 4 °C.
They range from small standalone units like batch pasteurizers to fully integrated online systems working continuously and in tandem with other equipment like separators, homogenizers. Some of the accessories that come with them include centrifugal pumps, plate heat exchangers, stainless steel and electrical water heating set and temperature regulating equipment.
